Privacy Policy.
Effective October 11, 2026
The short version
- We collect what you give us through our forms, booking page and email, plus basic technical data any website receives.
- We use it to respond to you, run your diagnosis and strategy session, deliver our services and run our business.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing info@m80consulting.com.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how M80 Consulting, a division of M80 Incorporated, LLC ("M80," "we," "us" or "our"), handles personal information collected through www.m80consulting.com and any page that links to this policy (the "Site"), and through related communications such as email, calls and scheduled meetings.
This policy does not cover information we process on behalf of clients under a services agreement. That information is governed by the agreement with the client.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Business Diagnosis: your name, email, phone (optional), company or website and role, and your answers about your business, such as your marketing challenges, lead volume, timeline, budget range, decision-making, CRM and tools, company size and any notes you add.
- General inquiry form: your name, email, phone (optional), company, the topic and your message.
- Booking a call: the details you enter on our Google Calendar booking page, such as your name, email and any answers to booking questions.
- Communications: anything you send us by email, phone, video call or LinkedIn, and notes we take during conversations with you.
- Clients and prospective clients: billing contacts and information needed to prepare proposals and agreements. Payments may be handled by a payment provider; we do not collect card numbers through the Site.
Please don't send us sensitive personal information (for example, health, financial account or government ID details) through the Site.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the date and time, which may appear in server and security logs.
- Referral data: when you submit the Business Diagnosis, the form includes the page you started on and any campaign tags in the link you used (for example, utm_source), so we know how you found us.
- Fonts: the Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google.
Information from other sources
We may look at publicly available business information, such as your company website or LinkedIn profile, to prepare for a conversation you have asked for.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry, review your diagnosis and prepare for and hold your strategy session.
- To schedule, confirm and remind you about meetings.
- To recommend, propose, deliver and support our services, and to manage our client relationships, billing and records.
- To send you information you've asked for and, where permitted, occasional updates about our services. You can opt out at any time.
- To understand how people find us and improve the Site and our services.
- To protect the Site, prevent spam and fraud, enforce our Terms of Use and comply with legal obligations.
Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent, steps you ask us to take before entering a contract, performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in running and growing our business, and compliance with law.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws. We disclose information only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run our business and process information on our behalf, including website hosting (Netlify), email, documents, spreadsheets and scheduling (Google Workspace, including Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Calendar and Google Apps Script), CRM and marketing communication tools (such as GoHighLevel / LeadConnector), and video meeting, accounting and payment tools.
- Specialist partners we bring into a client engagement (for example, paid media or SEO partners), only when needed for work you have engaged us for.
- M80 Incorporated, LLC and its divisions, which operate under the same ownership and are bound by this policy.
- Legal and safety: when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of M80, our clients or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this policy.
- With your direction or consent.
Third-party services you use directly, such as Google's booking page or LinkedIn, handle your information under their own privacy policies.
5. Cookies and tracking
The Site does not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels or third-party analytics. Our hosting provider and embedded services (such as Google Fonts and the Google Calendar booking page) may set or read cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent or provide a way to opt out.
We treat Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. Because we don't sell or share it, no further action is needed. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies.
6. Email and text messages
By submitting a form or booking a call, you agree that we may contact you by email or phone about your request. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link in the email or by replying "unsubscribe."
We will only send you text messages if you have agreed to receive them. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties for their marketing.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Inquiries and diagnoses that don't become engagements are generally kept for up to three years after our last contact so we can follow up and keep accurate records, then deleted or anonymized. Client records are kept for the length of the relationship and as long afterward as needed for legal, tax, accounting and dispute purposes. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see Section 9).
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access limited to people who need it, and reputable providers with their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete your information, subject to legal exceptions;
- stop sending you marketing emails or texts; and
- opt out of any sale, sharing for targeted advertising or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects (we don't do these).
Residents of some states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Tennessee, may have these rights under state law, depending on whether the law applies to us. We honor these requests for everyone.
To make a request, email info@m80consulting.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We'll verify your request by confirming information we already have, typically by email, and respond within 45 days (or as the law requires). You may use an authorized agent with your written permission. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; we will respond to appeals within the time the law requires. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California: in the past 12 months we have collected identifiers, contact details, professional or business information, internet activity (such as pages visited and referral data) and inferences about your business needs, from the sources and for the purposes described above, and disclosed them only to the categories of recipients in Section 4. We have not sold or shared personal information, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give you a right to limit it.
10. Children
The Site and our services are for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Where data is processed
M80 operates in the United States, and our providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries. If you contact us from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those where you live.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant we'll take reasonable steps to let you know.
